DE HOLLANDSE MOLEN
Just outside Neede in the hamlet of Lochuizen stands The Dutch Mill. The mill as it stands today was commissioned in January 1927, after the standard mill that stood there was destroyed on August 10, 1925, by the cyclone that also severely affected Borculo. The association De Hollandsche Molen, in cooperation with the National Aid Committee "Storm Disaster", took care of the construction of the new mill. The new mill is named after the association that made the construction possible. The mill was restored in 1998/1999.
The Hollandsche Molen is a round stone scaffold mill whose function is gristmill. The mill is still in regular operation thanks to volunteer millers.
